Imagine the unthinkable – you’re forced to leave Melbourne for some reason, and leave this beautiful city behind.
Obviously, you’d miss your friends and any family you have here. But what uniquely Melbourne things would you truly miss about the city?

The cool and inviting cafe/coffee culture.
The footy.
The National Gallery of Victoria! NGV.
The changeability of the weather – if it’s too cold or hot, no fear it will suddenly morph into the opposite! The quality and range of food, the stately parks and gardens with trams rattling by, the Victorian streetscapes and that rare ability for a big city of 4 million souls to still feel like a relaxed over-sized country town.
Leafy streets, parks, beaches and live music
Melbourne Heart
Definitely the ease of tram traveling
defs the goths at flinders street station
Footy , and the feel of Melbourne. Being in the best city in the world .
Coffee and boat shoes.
The feeling of Melbourne. There’s always a buzz, things to do and the footy of course
already left, miss the food. You can walk any where in Melbourne city and find excellent food at all price ranges. and love the crowds and movement and chatter on Friday night
I would and have missed places to take refuge in when it rains! Cosy cafes, laneway shops….sydney? No chance!
The Comedy Festival. ANd the trams. And St Kilda.
I was indeed “forced” to leave only 8 weeks ago and I miss everything. Coffee, the people, cafes, parks, trams, hook turns, u-turns, architecture, weather, Brunswick St, whinging about myki, trampoline icecream, people wearing black……..I could continue for pages. And Sydney truly sucks :-(
The night life. More specifically, the range of options for night life.
I went to live in Adelaide for 12 months in 2007 and that was the single biggest thing I missed since Adelaide only has a handful of areas for it.
No doubt about it, I’d miss the ladies, customers, and especially the staff, at Southside X
Definitely the coffee.
