Altona Beach, it’s awesome!
Lilydale lake. Two off the lead areas, 2.5km walking track, large kids play area, free bbqs
Coburg has parks along the Merri Creek that are dog-friendly. Just be aware that if your dog chases Ducks into the creek at full flood, it might be hard to get them out :-P (He’s fine, I managed to drag him out, but he’s on leash only from now on)
All nations park in Northcote. Large off-lead area, although doggy peak hour (an hour or so before the sun sets) is fairly hectic. It has a lake too, I have a very hard time keeping my dogs out of it. If you’re up for a 50 or so minute drive, Dromana has a terrific dog friendly beach, much nicer than the poo infested one in Brighton.
Either Brighton Dog Beach or Lilydale Lake. Our Vizsla loves them both!
All Nations Park, Northcote.
Darebin parklands – loads of off lead areas for big dog runs.
Yarra Bend Park, walk along the river to Abbotsford Convent for a dog friendly beer!
The streets of fitzroy. So many smells, so many spots to stop and chat with other canines.
