Little Creatures in Brunswick. Hand cut beautiful and with the right balance of crunchy anf fluffy. OMG sooo good.
Papa’s chips in Holmes street Brunswick makes the best chips in Melbourne – bar none.
To quote the person who put me onto them originally -
“Going in the opposite direction to the populist fast food shoestring ‘French Fry’, Papa’s missus carves her spuds into thick slats and delivers them in lovingly wrapped butcher’s paper.
$3 gets you enough to feed a Ugandan family for a week, with additional potato cakes weighing in at 90 cents if you like a side serving of potato with your potato.
I can’t even think of any honourable mentions, most other fish & chipperies befowl their chips with too much grease or, sin of sins, smother them in unwanted chicken salt.”
Grill’d chips with herbed mayo, or seasoned chips at Primary Cafe at Monash Uni Parkville campus :)
Souvlaki hut! There seasoning is amazing!
