La Bussola on Lygon street, east Brunswick. Nothing fancy, but proper Italian pizzas made with minimal toppings.
Il Padrino’s in St. Albans. Menu could do with a spellcheck, but OMG it’s like an edible orgasm.

I will give you a clue, its a little family run business in fitzroy north, closest to a true italian pizza as you can get.
an alternative for a really good cheap pizza is bar freds on nicholson st, great beer list with $9 pizzas………………….
pizza head was the best thing ive ever had, i loved the joint. didnt go there for about a year cause im not a local, came back and it was gone. was on the verge of suicide.

I luv the gourmet pizzas from any one of the Crust Pizza chains!
I think KP has the same idea as me….but I will name! Tony’s pizza at Woodstock on Nicholson Street……simple, thin crust, amazing cheeses and meats. Can’t wait to get back from London in June to taste them again!

Then it’s a toss up between D.O.C or Cazza Farro on Nicholson …. Of the ones I’ve tried.
