Spice Market!
Mezzo Bar + Grill do amazing food, and have a well stocked bar. Many other cocktail bars around the area as well if you’re not looking to travel far.
Any Greek tavern with authentic music and a set menu (banquet).
bertha brown on flinders street, up the spencer street side. many great cocktail, pizza and boogie times have been be had, and will continue to be i’m sure… :)
City clubs with good music: lounge bar, miss libertines
Mr Wilkinson in East Brunswick
Pretty subjective. Personally Miss Libertines is not my idea of a good night. Its also not an area of Melbourne. Fitzroy is. Brunswick St and Smith St. OK there area couple of douchey places but for the most part no matter where you go you’re in for a good time especially if you’ve had enough to drink and end up at Yah Yah’s around 3:00am. But you might argue that Fitzroy is a suburb and not part of Melbourne proper so I also reckon Chinatown has a lot to offer too from cocktails at Manchuria to dumplings, beers at section 8, to karaoke, Roxanne used to have some great bands but its kinda clubby now, but that may be your thing, billboards have some great shows.
1) Fitzroy
2) Chinatown
Top of the town, The Boardroom & Gotham City are best when it comes to having a fantastic evening! It ends up costing the same amount after you account for club entry, drinks etc!
A must go!
LOUNGE..Swanston st, Melbourne CBD..
Best food and music in Melbourne!!
GH Hotel, St Kilda. The old Greyhound – million dollar reno, still the same great Drag and Cabaret shows. Still the same trashy pub in much prettier digs!
My Polish sentiment brought me to the Restaurant in Dandenong named “KLUSKA” (traditional home made, organic pasta)
The place has its own character, not pretentious, with great pictures on the wall, good interior design BUT most important is the menu :)
If you never try the Central European Kitchen – KLUSKA has everything to please you.
You do not have to travel to Poland to get the best dumplings – PIEROGI or the yummiest beetroot soup or if you like to be more fancy the traditional Polish stew “BIGOS” is like a “heaven in your mouth”.
I have to stop at this point because the other secrets (like the grog menu) can not be revealing from the obvious reasons.
To find out the location please just GOOGLE – K L U S K A + RESTAURANT + DANDENONG
and you will find out the address,
Cheers and “Smacznego”
