Uncle Bart Cafe in Black Rock. Delicious food and atmosphere. And honestly, the best coffee in Bayside. Trust me, I’ve tried a lot of coffee in the area, and these guys win hands down. Throw in a bit of Footy Banter and a smile, and you’ve got yourself a first class establishment. A hidden gem, just across the road from one of Melbourne’s best beaches.
Santucci’s Cafe. Cozy place, awesome coffee and loooove their brunch.
Proud Mary. Delicious food & amazing coffee! Avocado and potato hash are the bomb!
Is this too far out of CBD …….??? The Red Box in Emerald, keep it in mind when you take a drive to the hills ……. Great breakfast, great service, very reasonably priced AND very child friendly. Have great lunch menu as well.

65 Degrees on Exhibition St, simply the best coffee, especially the varieties of beans on offer and also the way they make the espresso! Good food too.
Torch cafe and the old barbershop, both on Richmond. Consistently great coffee, service and food!
The Final Step, Murphy St, South Yarra. The best coffee in Melbourne and fantastic Anzac biscuits!
St Ali cafe at South Melbourne is the place to be when one is in need of excellent coffee. A place the hosts know their stuff, perfect cup of coffee every single time, and the seasonal menu made sure that you never get bored of the food. Okay this’ll sound like a scripted vote. It’s not. It is so awesome that I’d drive up from Geelong every weekend for the drink, bean stock up and the environment. If that’s not proof, then I don’t know what is.
Whisk Cafe at 75 Keilor Road in Essendon is amazeballs! The cakes are light, moist and full of flavour with the smoothest coffee I’ve had in a long time! Great vibe, awesome people
Not just a cafe but a delicatessen for the ultimate foodie experience. Check out Provata Urban Larder.
Carolina on Nicholson st Nth Fitzroy and La Paloma on Albert st Brunswick
3 Bags Full is great. But I also like Manchester Press and Seven Seeds!
The Lustre Lounge, Centre Place does lunches, desserts and yummy, yummy cocktails. Great service and a very cool place to hang out
Manchester Press for the typical Melbourne style cafe, simple menu, great interior, industrial edge. The Hardware Society can’t be bet when it comes to food, again offering a uniquely Melbourne experience.
Little Byrd on Union Rd, Ascot Vale
Short Black Cafe on Bridge road in Richmond. By far the best I have ever been to.
Threefold in Flinders Lane is amazing for one of the best lunches in town during the week.
