Used to be Westlake before they were fined for being unclean.
The pricey Shark Fin House
Shark Finn Inn on Little Bourke Street! By far!!
East Imperial on Rathdowne St, Carlton (or it was — I admittedly haven’t been for a few years). You order everything beforehand from a check-box menu. Yes, you lose the surprise element of grabbing stuff off a cart, but you get to see everything available, and everything is cooked fresh. Plus it allows them to offer a far larger range than most Chinese restaurants — heaps of vegetarian, and a huge variety of buns and dumplings.
Shark Fin House on Sunday!
Shark Fin! But it’s so pricey I usually go to Westlake; but never knew they were fined for being unclean..
Potsticker in Caulfield near the park has fabulous yum cha, especially with their bearded prawns and the seafood fried rice
Lucky Chans
Sharks Finn Inn, Goldleaf best quality in Melbourne.
Davids off chapel st.
The Tea Garden!
Hong Kong Kitchen on Fitzroy Street, St Kilda – fresh tasty Yum Cha all day, every day, friendly service, and decent prices. Also highly recommend Ripples in Bentleigh, Minh Tan 2 in Richmond, Red Door in Windsor & Ru Inn in Armadale. Avoid over-priced, snobby staff places like Purple Sands, David’s & the one on Southbank.
Oriental Tea House in lt bourke
Gold leaf in docklands or taipan in Doncaster.
