I really love the haircuts I get at Intaglio in Malvern Central (Wattletree Road, Armadale). Well priced and I’ve never had a bad one there, despite several different people cutting my hair. They are all so professional and can almost always get you in for an appointment. 10 out of 10.
Zucci in Ivanhoe, Hawthorn, and the City. Every hairdresser there is amazing and you get a lovely head massage with your choice of Aveda oil with every cut. You come out feeling great and smelling delicious with a fantastic haircut, too!
Vesna Hair Care in Yarraville – been in the business for along time with great young talent too! The best of both worlds: great cuts/colours and awesome French Rolls / Barrell Curls for those special occassions! Not many hairdressers left in Melbourne that can give you that ‘classic’ look using original techniques…
The best haircut experience I’ve had in Melbourne was at Head On in Hawthorn. It’s almost as though they can read your mind when it comes to figuring out what you want done with your hair.
Royal Crown Barbers on Glenferrie Rd. Specialising in rockabilly haircuts, they do pretty much anything though. They take their time, which is the best. Probably the only barber I’d go to in Melbourne, and they’re cheap to boot.
Mancuso in Victoria st North Melbourne. Friendly staff, you can have a coffee and a glass of wine. They do a particularly good mens haircut but cater for both sexes and all styles.
MANCUSO
If you are in need of a bit of a pick-me-up, Mancuso is the place to go. This inner-city retreat allows clients to enjoy a range ofservices from haircuts and colours to facials, massage, manicures and body treatments. The Japanese-style spa treatment area uses all-natural products, while the staff are some of the best stylists, masseurs,
beauticians and naturopaths in Melbourne. Mancuso has a Salon in Kyneton plus a country day spa in the Metcalfe Valley for the perfect getaway.
Toni and Guy in St Kilda. Great cut everytime and they can do wonders for curly hair!

Yes, Tony & Guy are good (Prahran is) but the best haircut experience I’ve ever had was with Rakis years back. A guy called Wes (no longer there). Even though it was a voucher I would’ve paid good money to get a cut with him again. Best cut I’ve every had.
After going all over Melbourne and paid all kinds of prices I have returned to my mum’s hairdresser in the suburbs, Bel Air in Balwyn, Zach does an amazing job, reads minds and delivers!
Rubi Hair on Chapel St. I’ve seen a few stylists there who are all great but Rachel is the best!!
SDM Hair Studio, Keilor Rd Niddrie -9374 4555. Consistently good with cuts & colours for both women & men. Beautiful salon, great hairdressers & efficient. Highly recommend!

Best Cheap Haircuts
Top end of Elizabeth Street, CBD (between A’Beckett and Therry Streets). There are about 3-4 stores selling quick haircuts for $10 lads – $15 ladies. Good for quick simple and cheap haircuts. If you don’t like one, go to the next.

Been there for 20 years and has fantastic cutters and colourists. Elgin street Carlton.
