Who serves the best laksa in Melbourne?

Post image for Who serves the best laksa in Melbourne?

It’s a top option in Indonesian restaurants in Melbourne, but who makes the best laksa in Melbourne?

We have no need for the best restaurant reviews when we can draw on a lot of local expertise right here. It doesn’t matter if it’s a fancy restaurant or a takeaway joint, just as long as their laksa is tasty!

So exactly where is the best laksa in Melbourne?

Hi,

Laksa King has the best laksa in Melbourne, 15 minute drive from Melbourne CBD.

Spicy Noodle on La Trobe St!!

No matter how dodgy the place looks or how many people might have gotten a dose of belly issues from eating other meals there, the laksa is always spot on! Best of all, they’ll swap the noodles for a side of rice!

Hawker 2 on Glenferrie St.

They serve good assam laksa, it’s sour fish-based soup is what differs it from laksa. If you ever get bored of the normal laksa I recommend you give this a go!

Chillipadi Mamak Kopitiam In Flemington has the best laksa. I have been here for over 20 years and I thought I was having the best laksa in Melbourne in other eateries until Chillipadi awaken my taste bud with true authentic laksa, very close to home.

Lims Nyonya Hut on Blackburn Road in Glen Waverley makes the best Laksa in Melbourne.
I’ve tried the Laksa at Laksa King and it just doesn’t compare.

Chillipadi wins hands down. Just right amount of richness and pack full of flavor. I get my fix at least once a week when I work in the CBD

Would have to say Laksa King and also Chillipadi – both on Racecourse Road Flemington are the best places to go.

I see I few regular popping up again and again. Some I’ve tried and most are good, very good even, but since we are after the best then we shall only settle for the best.
First what are we after as the perfect laksa? Personally I like a small amount of rice noodles, lots of vegetables, good choice of freash meats and seafood, and most of all, a very strong, very spicy soup with a lot of flavors going on.
For those who agree with me I hope you enjoy this laksa as much as I do. They don’t advertise doing a laksa at all. On the menu it’s just ‘curry soup’. Actually kind of off putting.
Ok so between Swanson st and russel st on Bourke st. Just down the target lane is a small take away shop called grand BBQ. I would recommend the vegetarian dumpling curry noodle.
Make sure you tell me what you think!
