The “Chicken parmigiana with double smoked Virginia ham, mozzarella & Napoli $24.00″
You can get it at Bellissimo Cucina & Trattoria, Docklands
http://www.bellissimo.net.au/menu.htm
Yummiest so far is @ The George Bar on Fitzroy Street, St Kilda.
The Parma on Rivers Restaurant Cruises is a little different and very tasty – “Chicken parmigiana topped with eggplant, capsicum and pumpkin served with wilted spinach & green peas” http://www.rivers.net.au/river_cruises_menu.htm
The Royston Hotel, in Richmond. Those things are HUGE
The Rose Hotel in Fitzroy without a doubt. Straight up parma, no need to theme it, they are so old school they still serve it with a slice of buttered bread!
A very close second is the Village Belle in St Kilda, providing you eat it in the Dalton Bar.
Palmerston near Albert Park, closely followed by the Albion in Port Melbourne
My no question, hands down, make-em-weep winner is the George Bar on Fitzroy Street, St Kilda. Never dry, never burnt – parmarama!
the John Curtain hotel does yummy cheap parmas.
Cheap and massive.
Thursday night, The Laurel
Mt Alexander Rd, Maribyrnong..
Post office hotel in brunswick/coburg!
Bettenay’s at the Prince Albert Hotel in Williamstown gets my vote for best Parma.
Ham? Ok by me, as long as it’s good quality.
The Limerick Hotel on Clarendon Street in Sth Melbourne! Mexican parma is the best! And Parma night Wednesday is also trivia night! Best in Melbourne!
Greasy joe’s in ackland street, St Kilda. Real chicken. Yum.
Two spots come to mind – Coopers Inn in the CBD, and the Keepers Arms in Nth Melb. Both are amazing. Want to try the Albion though.
Best in the CPD would be the Duke is Kent on LaTrobe St near Elizabeth. Big, juicy, tons is cheese and great chips.
er, that should have read “Duke OF Kent.”
Have to agree with Zoe, the Mexican @ the limerick can’t be beat. Not technically Melb, but the Parma at the Harrietville pub at the base of Mt hotham is also very good!!
Leveson Hotel Nth Melbourne all the way!
The Leveson in North Melbourne, hands down. Thought the Palmerston was just average, too – big, with chips and salad, but just wasn’t outstanding…
The Gertrude hotel does a awesome Parma!
